Title: Beautiful stay, close to nature and sweet animals with a kind host
In my wife's opinion, the road from Setubal to the estate could be challenging, especially when passing other vehicles. Paying attention to the potholes and sharp curbs is important.

A traditional Portuguese cottage. Wonderful views and extremely helpful owners who provided a delicious evening meal with complimentary wine. We are looking forward to another visit.

The view is breathtaking, the place very calm and relax. Very original the distribution of the Quinta, there is even a tower inside the quinta from where you can admire Setubal and Troia peninsule. The Manager of the Quinta de Sao Filipe is very friendly and helpful.
It is a bit difficult to find the place.

Everything. The personal, warm and friendly welcome just made us feel at home from the moment we crossed the gate. The property grounds are beautiful if not manicured, and the views are simply breathtaking, and exceptionally romantic. The property itself is so full of history that you cannot help but let your inner child run wild and dream away, whilst soaking up the sun from sunrise to sunset. We loved it!!!

Fabulous location with beautiful decor and cleanliness. Missing kettle for tea. Enjoyed supper outside with nice view. Host gave warm welcome, showed comfortable room, and lovely grounds with donkeys and hillside patio. Superb bed and linens, continental breakfast provided. Memorable stay with friendly locals and outstanding seafood restaurant recommendation.

The views, location and surrounding area were perfect with great opportunities for walking and exploring. It was about 20 mins walk to town centre and 15 mins walk to local beach. Fresh bread was left at our door every morning and the fridge was filled on our arrival with treats and essentials. Oranges and lemons from their orchard. This was a lovely touch. Our accommodations was comfortable and the kitchenette was well equipped. On our last day we were given fresh eggs, veg and herbs from the farm, this was a real treat and our best meal. Antonio was very helpful but also left us to our own devises which was great. It was a great base to explore Setubal and surrounding area. I would love to stay here again.
The shower was a bit fiddly but that would not put me off staying here again. In the evening there were alot of bugs in our little house but it is to be expected in a countryside location. I'm a city girl so I'm not used to this!

This is in many ways a unique place. Having been a family farm and summer house for over 100 years, various layers of its history have been well preserved. Comprising a number of houses, including the base of a windmill, the farm is like a small whitewashed village, perching on the hillside. The house itself is not luxurious but well furnished. The twice weekly maintenance was impeccable. The Quinta only rents two apartments. We stayed in the one with two bedrooms. The living room with its original wall paintings is a pearl. The view from the outside veranda is magnificent. The panoramic view includes Setúbal in the east, the fortress of São Filipe and the long sandy peninsula in the South and the hills of Arrábida natural reserves in the West. Although high up in the hills, you can reach a nice beach in 15-20 minutes (it takes more time to climb back). What really made a difference to ordinary rental apartments was our host. Always attentive but not intrusive and with a delicate emotion, he added a lot to our comfort and to the intimate feeling during our stay. You can also order a dinner with a day’s notice. We did. Our meal included a lamb roast, and it was our best food during the week.

Our stay at Quinta De Sao Filipe was absolute magic. The host went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and happiness. The room was well equipped, and the private garden with its breathtaking view was a highlight. We adored the friendly dogs and even the donkey! It truly felt like a home away from home, and we can't wait to return.

The value for money at Quinta De Sao Filipe was exceptional, with a well-equipped room and a beautiful private garden and view. The location was perfect, secluded on top of a hill with no other properties encroaching, and the staff treated us like family, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort.
Breakfast delights, but it would have been even better with a dedicated kitchen sink for washing up.
